Terms of Use

The App Store also applies Apple's Standard EULA to BuyPause. These Terms add app-specific points; where they conflict with Apple's EULA for App Store distribution, Apple's EULA governs.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using BuyPause, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What BuyPause Is — and Isn't

BuyPause is a self-reflection and decision-support tool that helps you pause before impulse purchases and gives a Buy / Wait / Skip suggestion based on the information you enter.

BuyPause is not financial advice, investment advice, debt counseling, medical or mental-health advice, or addiction treatment. It does not guarantee savings or any financial outcome. Decisions are yours; "estimated saved" reflects only purchases you mark as skipped. For financial or health concerns, consult a qualified professional.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use BuyPause for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and Apple's EULA.

4. Subscriptions (BuyPause Pro)

• Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (weekly or yearly). Pricing is shown in the app at purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Purchases are processed by Apple; refunds are handled by Apple per their policies.

5. Acceptable Use

Don't misuse the app, reverse-engineer it (except as permitted by law), or use it unlawfully.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

BuyPause is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chequa is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any purchase decision you make. Your data is stored locally on your device; we are not responsible for data lost when an app is deleted or a device is reset.

7. Changes & Termination

We may update these Terms (we'll update the date above) and may modify or discontinue the app. You may stop using BuyPause at any time.
