Privacy Policy

BuyPause helps you pause before impulse purchases. We built it to respect your privacy by design: BuyPause does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data.

1. Data We Collect

None. BuyPause has no user accounts and no servers of our own. Everything you enter — purchase checks, your onboarding answers, parked Vault items, decisions, and saved-money history — is stored only on your device (using Apple's on-device storage). We cannot see it, and it never leaves your phone unless you choose to share it (for example, by tapping Share on a recap card).

We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party data SDKs. We do not connect to your bank, scan receipts, or access your contacts, photos, or location.

2. Purchases (Subscriptions)

BuyPause Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple — not BuyPause — handles your payment and is the merchant of record. We never receive your card or payment details. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

3. Notifications

If you allow notifications, BuyPause schedules local reminders on your device (for example, when a pause timer ends). These contain only generic text and no item names, prices, or personal details. Nothing is sent to a server.

4. Your Choices and Rights

Because your data lives only on your device, you are in full control:

• Delete your data any time in Settings → Delete Local Data, or by deleting the app.
• Since we hold no copy of your data, requests for access, correction, export, or erasure are satisfied directly on your device.

If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not collect or process your personal data on any server, so there is no profile for us to access, port, or delete on our side. You may still contact us with any question at the address below.

5. Children

BuyPause is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where required by local law) and we do not knowingly collect data from them. As above, we do not collect data from anyone.

6. Data Security & Retention

Your data is stored on your device and protected by iOS device security. We retain no copy. Uninstalling the app removes the local data.

7. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, note it in the app or on this page.
